The Challange

The Challange
RMIT’s teaching staff were under pressure to deliver high-quality online courses, but faced two barriers: time constraints and limited design or technical expertise. While the Digital Media team had built a rich library of interactive and visual learning resources over two years, there was no easy way for teachers to find and repurpose this content. The result: duplicated effort, inconsistent learning experiences, and missed opportunities to engage students.

The Solution

The Solution
I designed a centralised content repository — an online library that made digital resources easy to discover, reuse, and integrate into Canvas courses. The repository was structured around intuitive topic groupings and supported a simple search function, allowing teachers to quickly locate relevant materials. Key user flows were streamlined: teachers landed on the repository, searched for a topic, previewed items via a modal, and copied them directly into their online course.

The Outcome
The Outcome
The Outcome
The repository reduced content creation time for teachers, encouraged consistent use of high-quality media assets, and maximised the value of existing digital investments. Most importantly, it enabled educators to spend less time building from scratch and more time focusing on teaching and engaging their students.
